Everyone loves to party, but it’s even better when you have a cause to party for! Making our art show, TRANSFORMATION one pretty epic event! Attending the Rewrite Beautiful art show translates to creatively changing how girls see beauty in themselves for eating disorder prevention through education. Rewrite Beautiful has three main programs:
School Program – Rewrite Beautiful travels to junior high, high school and college campuses educating students on eating disorders; we erase myths and taboos and teach students the harms of eating disorders, the warning signs, how to talk to a friend struggling and where to get help. We share our photo-documentary telling the stories of 5 women who have struggled with an eating disorders, share a live eating disorder testimony, hold a Q&A Panel and engage the students in creatively changing how they see beauty in themselves. The program is greatly effective. After our school program:
* 90% of students say they know more about eating disorders than they did prior to the program
* 90% say they feel more equipped to talk to a friend struggling with an eating disorder than they did before the program
* 85% can name one place to receive free help and support
* 75% say they see their beauty now in their actions rather than their physical appearance
Beautiful Action Clubs - These are clubs that are led by high school and college students. These students help us to continue spreading eating disorder prevention on their campus. Through utilizing our book, How To: Rewrite Beautiful and holding fundraisers they do a heck of a job preventing this disease from harming students on their campuses.
Street Art Workshop- This workshop is held annually for Rewrite Beautiful supporters and the public to learn Rewrite Beautiful’s vision, hear an eating disorder testimony, view our photo documentary and create street art which allows them to change how they see beauty in themselves.
You know the saying, “If mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy?” Well, in the event world the saying goes, “If the DJ ain’t bumpin’ the party ain’t pumpin.’” That’s why we recruited everyone’s favorite music man – DJ Big Sky for this years art show!
DJ Big Sky is a party favorite in OC and LA. Word on the street is he has been building his play list of positive vibes and epic musicians for the TRANFSFORMATION Art Show. We can’t wait to groove to them! Speaking of grooving, groove on over and get your pre-sale tickets for our art show, TRANSFORMATION on Saturday, November 30th– HERE!

All of the artwork that will be featured at Rewrite Beautiful’s 3rd Annual Art Show – TRANFORMATION has been created with love by local Orange County and Los Angeles, female artists. Get to know these creative, kind and strong women here...
Jeannette is a phenomenal artist and poet, but around here we love to call her, “The most radtastic editor and coach on the planet!” She served as the editor of our newly released book, How To: Rewrite Beautiful. Jeannette is passionate about people living their best lives and helping them tell their unique stories. Whether it’s through art, editing, conversations or a letter in the mail she is always reminding people to “Keep on Truckin’!” Get a sneak peek of some of Jeannette’s art work that is featured HERE in our shop.
Jessica has been drawing, painting and creating since she was a child. Her work can be seen all over Orange County. Some of our personal favorites are her commissioned pieces at Lola Gaspar and the Women’s Health Center. In addition to being a phenomenal oil painter, Jessica is known to be the Hostess with the Mostest! She can cook, entertain and tell you a funny story while she stands on one leg sautéing heirloom tomatoes! She’s so fabulous she actually ended up in our book in the essay, How To: Party! Jessica makes friends easily and serves as a constant source of joy and support to her friends. Just toast a glass of wine with her at the show and you’ll see why!
We knew we totally digged Jordan’s art when we first saw it, but then we met her, and our feelings bounced straight into la la love! Jordan cares deeply about the way women see themselves and how the world at large interacts with them. Her work is powerful at every angle!
Katie is a savvy business woman by day and a thoughtful artist by night. Katie's art conveys immense spirit and talent, but having a conversation with Katie is the real treasure about her. Just talk to her for 5 minutes and you'll learn a thing or two about North Korea, bullying, compassion and dating in Orange County. Katie leaves everyone a little more educated, thoughtful and giggly. She reminds us to love deeper and laugh harder.
Morgan is the “Queen of Quirk.” If she’s not planning the latest sorority fundraiser, she’s baking Morgan’s Maginificent Morsels, studying to Mozart, navigating Rewrite Beautiful as a member of our board of directors, creating art with her grandma or playing “Guess the bill” at dinner. Morgan is all intellect, wit and laughter – talk to her for a few minutes at the show and you’ll see why this is only a snapshot of what makes Morgan a beautiful woman.
Nicole Miyuki Santo
Nicole is a graduate of Chapman University and has carried some serious go-getter-panther into her professional career! Nicole started her creative career at ever/after clothing - a cause based brand that gives 25% of their profits to charity. Nicole then went on to found, Grounded on the Daily, an Etsy store with adorable gifts! Now she is using her creativity serving as a consultant for special events in the mecca of creativity, La La Land itself -Los Angeles. On the side she donates her time designing new t-shirts for Rewrite Beautiful. Amazing what can happen when a girl knows that her beauty lies in her actions, eh?
